Applications for Annual and Temporary Fireworks Retailer Permits are available through the Board's new online permitting software here. Additional information can be found here. All temporary permit applications must be submitted to the Department by Friday, June 21, 2024, for July 4th season operations. To apply for a Fireworks Wholesaler/Storage license or Jobber license, please use the paper applications found here.

The Board of Pyrotechnic Safety is responsible for compliance of the Board's laws and regulations pertaining to the manufacture, storage and sale of pyrotechnics (fireworks) within the state. Administrative staff may issue licenses to qualified pyrotechnic retailers, wholesale distributors, wholesale storage facilities and jobbers of fireworks doing business in the state; perform inspections; receive initial complaints and conduct disciplinary investigations when necessary. The Board may conduct licensure hearings, citation appeals hearings and disciplinary hearings as needed.
