Board News

  • The Building Codes Council has amended Chapter 8 of the Code of Regulations to correct scrivener's errors in the modifications to the South Carolina Building Codes. The amended regulations, effective June 26, 2020, can be viewed here.

  • The 2018 South Carolina Codes have been adopted by the Building Codes Council, and the modifications to the Codes have been approved by the General Assembly. You can view the modifications here. The Codes with their modifications are effective as of January 1, 2020.
