Psychology Board – Practice In South Carolina

The South Carolina State of Emergency expired on Monday, June 7, 2021. The federal public health emergency remains in effect, and therefore the fourth amendment to the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (“PREP Act”), allowing for the order and administration of Covered Countermeasures to patients by means of telehealth in the state where the provider is licensed to practice, is still valid. Please note that this is a limited and temporary exception to providing services by means of telehealth. The fourth amendment to the PREP Act and other related information can be found at the following link: https://www.phe.gov/Preparedness/legal/prepact/Pages/4-PREP-Act.aspx

Practitioners who are providing telehealth services to patients located in South Carolina that do not qualify as Covered Countermeasures should either immediately seek licensure in South Carolina or transfer client care to an appropriate South Carolina licensed provider.
