EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 3, 2020: LETTERS OF REFERENCE/RECOMMENDATION ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONERS [LL/TL]. APPLICATION FORMS WILL BE UPDATED TO REFLECT THIS CHANGE. IF YOU HAVE A RCP LL/TL APPLICATION PENDING, WE WILL UPDATE YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION CHECKLIST TO SHOW THAT YOUR REFERENCES ARE NOT PENDING. SC physicians have reported receiving calls from someone claiming to be from the SC Medical Board and calling from 803-896-4500. The caller may indicate there is a "problem" with your license and ask you to call another number such as 804-277-9778. If you receive such a call, please call the SC Medical Board directly at 803-896-4500 to verify whether the SC Medical Board is attempting to contact you. Please do not call the number provided by the caller.

Following the enactment of recent legislation pertaining to Physician Assistant licensure, a listing of alternate supervising physicians will no longer appear in Licensee Lookup. S.C. Code 40-47-41 (C) of the medical practice act requires that licensees shall notify the board in writing within fifteen business days of any change of residential address, office address, or office telephone number.
In addition to your residential address, office address and office telephone number, it is also very important that you let us know if your name has changed, or you have a new e-mail address.
