Biennial Renewal Fee Schedule

  • Occupational Therapist license renewal, if renewed/postmarked on or before March 15, 2025, fee is $100. If renewed/postmarked March 16, 2025 through April 15, 2025, a late fee of $50 will be assessed for a total of $150.
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant license renewal, if renewed/postmarked on or before March 15, 2025, fee is $80. If renewed/postmarked March 16, 2025 through April 15, 2025, a late fee of $50 will be assessed for a total of $130.
  • Licenses not renewed by April 15, 2025 must be reinstated.
  • For Inactive Status, you must renew online by March 15, 2025.
  • Continuing Education: As a condition of license renewal, a licensee must complete sixteen hours of continuing education per biennium and must be certified and in good standing with NBCOT. A licensee must maintain continuing education requirements in compliance with NBCOT. Do not submit any CE documentation to the Board's office. SC Board of Occupational Therapy licensees are to utilize the CE Broker system for reporting and maintaining all CEs required for SC licensure. You can activate your free account at https://www.cebroker.com/sc/account/basic. The Board will conduct a random audit after the close of the renewal period.
  • Please note: In order to maintain licensure to practice in South Carolina, your NBCOT Certification must remain active and in good standing at all times.

Continuing Education

As a condition of license renewal, a licensee must complete sixteen (16) hours of continuing education per biennium and must be certified and in good standing with NBCOT. A licensee must maintain continuing education requirements in compliance with NBCOT. For the 2025 renewal period ALL licensees are required to submit their continuing education hours and verification of your NBCOT Certification to CE Broker prior to renewing.
