The Board of Accountancy regulates Certified Public Accountants, Public Accountants, and Accounting Practitioners. The board examines applicants and issues certificates and licenses to certified public accountants and accounting practitioners. The board may discipline certificate and license holders, prescribe rules and regulations, investigate complaints, and, in general, regulate the practice of accounting in the state.
