Annual License Renewals

  • Renewals Open: Late November
  • Renewal Deadline: February 1
  • CPE Report Deadline: February 1
  • Last day for Late Renewals: February 16

Renew Your License

  • After February 1, the license is considered late.
  • After February 16, the license is lapsed and you must complete a Reinstatement Application with a fee of $595 ($500 reinstatement fee and $95 current renewal fee.) In addition, a criminal background check is required as part of the reinstatement process. Instructions for the background check will be provided by board staff, once all other required documentation is received.

Renewal Fees

  • CPA, PA and Accounting Practitioner $95
  • In-State Firm $60
  • Out-of-State Firm $60

CPE Reports

CPE reports are due no later than February 1. You can submit your CPE report for the 2024 calendar year via one of the two methods below:

An audit of CPE for the 2024 calendar year will be conducted starting in the spring of 2025, following the close of renewals. If selected for audit, the Board will require you to submit your CPE records and documentation to the Board through your account in the CPE Audit Service. The South Carolina Board has the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses and documentation for CPE credit once they have audited your submitted information and documentation.
