DACA License Eligibility
In accordance with S.C. Code of Laws Section 8-29-10 and a SC Attorney General Opinion dated March 3, 2014, DACA status recipients are not able to receive a professional license in South Carolina.
Online Application

Step 1: Print all required documentation (see below).

Please note: Pages 5 & 6 of the below required documentation must be notarized.

Step 2: After completing all required documents, visit the online application portal and begin the online application. Upload all completed/notarized required documents in the online application portal.

Step 3: Payment is required at the end of the online application to complete submission.

Please Note: The online application states that you have up to 30 days to submit. The online application is not complete until a payment is submitted. Once your application has been completely submitted, you have one (1) year to complete and submit all required information.

Examination Information

Once a completed application has been received and approved by the Commission, Applicants will receive an e-mail notification from DoNotReply@llr.sc.gov with registration information for the examination(s).

The examination(s) are administered by PSI Testing Services. It takes 48 hours from the date and time of the email notification for PSI to import the authorization to test into their system. To ensure the information has been received by PSI, please allow the full 48 hours to pass before scheduling/registering for exam(s). You will not be able to register for/schedule exam(s) until the exam authorization has completely imported into the PSI system.

Please Note: Applicants are responsible for registering/scheduling with PSI. The examination registration fee is to be paid directly to PSI upon registration.

Exam eligible applicants are encouraged to review the PSI Real Estate Candidate Information Bulletin. PSI will send examination score reports directly to the Commission office. Please do not send your score report to the Commission office.

Supervision Attestation

The below information is only for applicants who have passed the required examination(s) or received reciprocity application approval and have been notified by the Commission office.

Examination Applicants: Those who were required to take examination(s) must submit the information on this page within 1 year of passing their exam(s). If all the required information is not received within this one (1) year period; you must begin the application process from the beginning. This includes, but not limited to, the application fee, transcripts, license verifications, etc.

Reciprocity Applicants: The application is good for one (1) year from the date of receipt. If all the required information on this page is not received within this one (1) year period; you must begin the application process from the beginning. This includes, but is not limited to, the application fee, transcripts, license verifications, etc.

Applicants will receive an email from DoNotReply@llr.sc.gov with the below information for the final steps towards obtaining Associate licensure with the SC Real Estate Commission:

To attain licensure as a Broker with the SC Real Estate Commission, please follow the below steps:

  • Step 1: Complete the Supervision Attestation Form (DO NOT MAIL THIS FORM TO THE COMMISSION OFFICE)
  • Step 2: Review the Document Submission Instructions

  • Step 3: Submit all above mentioned documents through Document Submission in the Licensee Portal

    To log in, you will need your UserID and password. (Commission office does not have access to passwords).

  • Step 4: After required documents have been submitted via Document Submission, an invoice for the initial licensing fee will be sent via email. Document submissions are processed in the order received. Please allow time for processing, and the invoice being sent.

    Please note: When reviewing your checklist within the online portal, items regarding exams will remain as "pending" until the Supervision Attestation form has been processed.

  • Step 5: A license issuance email will be sent upon receipt and processing of the initial license fee. Once the fee has been collected, please allow 3-5 business days for the license to be issued. You will receive an email confirming the license information. A copy of the license will be mailed to the brokerage.

    Please note: If a brokerage is not identified on the Supervision Attestation form, you will receive notification that the license is on Inactive status. Inactive licenses will not be mailed.
